Zone League going to the wire!

It's quite possible that the winner of this year's Zone League Division 1 title won't be known until after the last game of the season has been played. St. Mark's have 2 games left - Waringstown and Kilmore (both at home) with the latter being the final league game of the season. 11 points from these 2 games will guarentee the league title goes to Carelton Street. Any slip ups however could open the door for either Armagh Golf Club or St. Saviour's. Both have one game left. Armagh CG are at home to Drumgor while St. Saviour's travel to Kilmore.

Kilmore themselves are rooted to the bottom and with their last 2 games against two title chasers, their hopes of avoiding relegation seem slim. The second relegation spot is between St. John's Moira and Mullavilly. Mullavilly are 1½ points ahead of St. John's with a game in hand, but the 2 teams have to play each other. This will be St. John's last game and with Mullavilly enteraining St. Anthony's in their last game, a big win for St. John's could see them survive. There's a lot of bowls to be played yet however.

Division 2 is more clear cut. Tullysaran have cruised to the Div 2 title and a return to the top flight. They will most likely be joined by Portadown Golf Club who need 6 points from their last to games to secure promotion. The first of these is against Queen Street (the only other team that could mathematically be promoted) while their final game is at home to bottom club Shankill.
