Tournament Success

Men win against Donegal

Congrats to Armagh Men's Zone team who beat Donegal today by 1 shot in Raphoe.

After a great start to the 1st half Armagh led by 12 shots with Joe Beattie's rink winning 9-7 against D McKlintock, Alan Roberts beat PJ Gallagher 11-5 and Derek Wright won his game 12-8 against P McGee.
Half time score Donegal 20-32 Armagh
Armagh where able to hang on in the 2nd half after a late charge by Donegal with Andrew Leckey beating E Curran 10-4, Aidan Corrigan lost 2-11 to J Quinn and Mark Sproule lost 5-13 to A Steele.
Final score Donegal 48-49 Armagh.

Armagh will now play West Down at home on Sat 12 Jan 2013

Men's zone team picked

The men's inter zone competition continues this Sat with Armagh away to
former finalists Donegal. A coach will be leaving the Fair Green, Portadown
at 9.30am, stopping at the Melon Country Inn at 10.30. All team members
please inform Flo McNally (07834423482) immediately if you are travelling by
coach.

Pauline heads to Potters

 

Good luck to Pauline Beattie this weekend as she heads to Potters to play for the Irish team in the British Isles Championships. Donegore Triples Success

Congratulations to Gary Culbert, Joe & Pauline Beattie on winning Donegore Triples last night beating fellow Armagh Zone players Stevie McCall, Mark Sproule and Aidan Corrigan in the final.

Armagh Ladies Through

Armagh Ladies won their opening game in the Ladies Interzone by beating South & East Belfast by 39 shots.
 
After a slow start in the opening ends of the 1st half, Armagh were able to open a 16 shot gap by half time.
 
The 2nd half started strongly for Armagh and were able to increase their advantage by a further 23 shots, this also included a lift of 8 shots by Flo McNally's rink on their 9th end!!
