"First legs" have been played in all 3 of the preliminary matches. St Mark's have more or less guarenteed their spot in the next round with a resounding 56-19 home win over St Patrick's Gold. The second leg in Armagh on Thur 9 Oct should be a formality.
Kilmore travel to St. Paul's for the second leg of their tie on 15 October with a 20 shot advantage, and look well placed for a crack at St. Mark's in the next round, which would be very interesting following their surprise victory over them in the league
However it's a different story in the Lakeside / St Pat's Maralin tie. The first leg in Lakeside ended even 44-44, which would make St. Pat's slight favourites for the return leg in their hall on Monday 6 October, but it's all to play for.
